During VFD Variable Frequency Drive working, it may occur overheat. So why the VFD overheat during working? Let’s find out together.

Reason 1: The motor is overloaded

The motor is overloaded and the frequency drive has been working over rated current for too long period. Please choose the right drive model that is compatible with the motor power.
The motor shaft is stuck and motor stalling. Limit the drive current and make the value less than 120%.

Reason 2: The environment temperature is too high

While environmental temperature around the frequency drive exceeds the limited value, the rated working temperature of frequency drive may exceeds its highest allowed temperature. That is to say, the drive will overheat if the temperature of drive working environment is too high.
